How predictable are the China League One results
The Chinese Super League is not the most exciting of championships, but it is one that many football fans follow. One of the attractions is the unpredictability of the season. All participating teams have an equal chance of winning, as many of them are reinforced with international class players. Those clubs who have failed to live up to expectations have fallen into the ranks of this season’s failures.
Hebei and their results in the Super League
The 2022 season in football is one of the toughest. Many teams have had to deal with financial problems due to a lack of funding. For this reason, Hebei has been placed not just at the bottom of the standings, but also with minus 6 points.
The club’s problems have resulted in:
- the purchase of new players who could strengthen the current squad is not foreseen;
- the owners simply do not have the means to create advantageous transfer conditions.
In the absence of such an opportunity, Hebei has set several anti-records.
For the first time in the history of the Chinese Super League, the team has lost 29 of its 30 matches. They have only one win under their belt, which is unlikely to turn things around. This number of defeats has been attributed to a lack of professional players, as well as a lack of preparation for the World Cup.
Wuhan and the lack of players
The team stands a good chance of leaving the standings, as China League One results leave a lot to be desired. The club is currently experiencing financial problems and cannot afford to buy internationals. At the same time, it is unable to provide the required number of players.
The accumulated problems are not being solved. One of the scheduled matches turned out to be a failure: the club failed to meet the Asian Football Federation’s requirements. Fans have already become disillusioned with the favourites and many are waiting for reports of the club’s dissolution.
The situation can only be saved by the arrival of a serious investor who will not spare the money to rebuild. Reinforcing the squad, finding a professional coach and preparing for next season could put Wuhan back in the top three, if not in 10th place.
Shanghai Shenhua’s failure this season
The popular team used to win the Championship, but today found themselves half a step away from losing their place in the table. As on previous occasions, the team’s problems are due to inadequate funding. The years when the owners allowed themselves to buy great players are now in the past.
Despite this, the club’s situation is not as precarious as the above. Shanghai Shenhua’s achievements allow them to continue fighting for the coveted title. Nevertheless, if no exit is found soon, the team will leave the tournament and move to the lower leagues.
There is a lot of hard work to be done to create favourable conditions. The search for an investor and transfers will enable the team to continue playing on the pitch while maintaining their current status. If penalty points are ruled out, the club could get closer to, or even be in a good position in, the top three.
Guangzhou and their anti-record
The previously strong team can’t boast any results today. The club’s finances continue, but even that doesn’t help them maintain their position. Ten straight losses prove that Guangzhou is not having the best of times. The absence of internationals has taken its toll on the team’s fortunes, but there’s no reason why they can’t return with renewed vigour next season. It’s worth putting in more effort and focusing on attacking opponents’ goals.
